Saffron is an incredibly versatile ingredient, perfect for any kind of dish, be it pasta, meat, fish or a tasty dessert. Its intense aroma and vibrant orange colour bring out and enhance every flavour, without adding any fats to your meal.

Saffron is a precious spice derived from the flower of Crocus sativus (Iridaceae family), commonly known as the “saffron crocus”. Our product is 100% natural and hand crafted: the flowers and their stigmas are hand-picked one by one, then dried on a brazier or in a furnace.

How to store: store in a dry and cool place. Heat and light may alter the product’s aroma.

How to use: before use, allow saffron threads to soak for 8-10 hours, preferably in warm water.

Packaging comes in different shapes and sizes, ranging from handy plastic cases to ready-to- use sachets. They all contain saffron threads, skillfully harvested by “Azienda agricola Collina d’Oro”.
