Sautéed chards

This simple and tasty side dish is perfect with meat or fish. You just need three ingredients to
prepare it, all from Lombardy, but you can easily find them all over the world: chards, butter and Grana Padano cheese. This tasty dish is also very healthy and rich in fiber, vitamins and
minerals.

Ingredients – 4 serves
  • 700g chards
  • 40g butter
  • Pepper q.s.
  • Salt q.s.
  • Grated Grana Padano

 You could also use spinach, chicory or dandelion instead of chards.

How to cook sautéed chards

  • Put some salted water in a big pot and bring it to the boil. Let the chards boil for 5
    minutes and then drain them.
  • Let the butter melt in a pan and then add the chards in it.
  • Add the grated Grana Padano cheese and keep mixing.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste and serve it.
