The PDO organic extra virgin olive oil is obtained from the cold pressing of Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino olives, cultivated by the agricultural company “Vismara Gianfranco”. The product is bottled by the manufacturer himself. Oil mill takes place every day in order to keep the properties and the taste of this high-quality product. The organic extra virgin olive oil is the result of mixing Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino olives during the oil mill.
The olive varieties we are speaking about have forgetful historical roots. The historical evidence of the presence of these olive varieties on Lake Iseo shores is very ancient. For a few years sufficient quantities of the varieties at hand have been being cultivated. For that reason it is possible to organize olive oil tasting too. Lombardy lakes PDO organic extra virgin olive oil is an extremely quality product and dressing thanks to its organoleptic properties and its acidity level (0,5%). It has a characteristic aftertaste of artichoke, which is typical of its production areas.
The Lombardy lakes Protected Designation of Origin is a recognition assigned to some types of high quality olive oil produced near the areas of northern Italy great lakes (Lombard territory). The designation “Sebino” refers more precisely to lake Iseo products. The olive oil produced by the agricultural company “Vismara Gianfranco” has the Sebino designation. “Vismara Gianfranco” olive oil production procedures are very rigorous in order to reduce the acidity level and to obtain a higher polyphenol content.
