This nutritious, fairly elaborate Sunday classic is perfect for a dinner with friends and family. Best served with a side of salad or raw vegetables, its delicious taste will surely win the heart of even the most sophisticated palates.
Stuffed meatloaf
Ingredients 4 people
- 500g veal mince
- 300g spinach
- 1 hard-boiled egg
- 4 eggs
- 100g breadcrumbs
- 200g grated cheese
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 sprig of parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- half a onion
- 1 glass of white wine
Stuffing quantity can vary according to your taste.
Traditional method
- Boil the spinach and slightly fry in a pan with a bit of olive oil, a garlic clove and grated cheese.
- Hard boil an egg.
- Combine the veal mince with breadcrumbs, grated cheese, 4 eggs, chopped parsley, salt and pepper. Pat the mixture into a rectangle, arrange the spinach and the egg on top, then roll to create the meatloaf.
- Sear the meatloaf in a pan with a bit of olive oil and chopped onion. Add a glass of white wine and allow it to evaporate, then add a couple ladles of vegetable broth and simmer for about 1 hour.
- Cut it into slices (about 1,5 cm thick) and serve with salad of your choice.
